What do I need to bring to my nutrition counseling session?
Bring a record of everything you eat and drink for seven days. We don't care how "good" or "bad" it is. We're not here to judge, we simply need to get to know your schedule and the foods you like and dislike. Keeping this food record in advance saves time. Otherwise, the dietitian needs to spend time in the session asking you what you eat. It is more effective to spend the time discussing and setting goals.
In addition to your food record, bring your insurance card, co-pay or payment (we accept cash or check only), a list of medications and supplements you take, and any lab results you may have if you need to lower your cholesterol, blood sugar or blood pressure. If you are diabetic and take your own blood sugar, please bring your blood sugar log book.
