American Dietetic AssociationAmerican Dietetic Association: We are Registered Dietitian Nutritionists(RDN) which means, like Registered Nurses,  we have all completed a minimum of a Bachelor's or Master's of Science Degree in Human Nutrition (a total of 30 nutrition-related courses), a 1000 hour clinical internship, and passed a rigorous exam.
National Certification Board of Diabetes EducatorsNational Certification Board of Diabetes Educators: Those of us who are Certified Diabetes Educators (CDE) are also RDNs, have completed at least 1000 hours of post-graduate Diabetes Education work, and have passed a rigorous exam.
Commonwealth of MassachusettsCommonwealth of Massachusetts: We are Licensed Nutritionists (LDN) by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts which means that due to our extensive studies, we are the only professionals allowed to call ourselves "Nutritionists."
